Welcome

Cheltenham Ladies' College is a leading independent girls day and boarding school, for pupils aged 11-18 years old.

Founded in Gloucestershire over 170 years ago, CLC is renowned for its pioneering approach to girls education, and is consistently rated one of the top girls schools in the UK.

A CLC education is full of joy, excitement and challenge. It encourages pupils to think globally, to cherish diversity and to innovate in the face of an ever-changing world.

Hear from our community
I think the best thing about CLC is the supportive environment, but also that although the academics are really important, there's equal emphasis placed on other things such as music, sport, drama.

Because CLC is an all-girls school, there is nothing off limits. There is nothing to be shy about, you can be in the cricket team, you can be in the football team, you can have the main role in the play, all the science opportunities - everything is for you. I think the girls really embrace that and really do have a go at anything.

CLC has surpassed anything we could have expected or hoped for. We feel blessed, and oh so lucky to have our daughter in your very capable hands.
